Often the designer has a project where it needs to use an image or picture, such as a folder, for example. He then has three options:
1) Take the picture itself;
2) Hiring a professional photographer;
3) Use an image bank.
That’s when you ask me: “But what are the advantages and disadvantages of each one of these options?”
In the first option, obviously you save money. But the disadvantage is that photography is not something easy to do (don’t mistake amateur photography, the one that you get at the end of the week for a family barbecue, with professional photography), to get good photos you need time and patience to get the best result, apart from having to do all the treatment after shooting them.
In the second option, you have the advantage of not need to dedicate your time to the photos, and the photo treatment needed will be minimal. But as disadvantage, the price of a professional photographer is not very cheap.
The Image Bank works as a professional photographer, it saves you time and then, most of the photos already come with a treatment, requiring only one or other minor treatment to suit the project developed.
But what few of you know is that there are free Image Banks, therefore you do not need to pay anything for the image. Some sites require only that you give the credit of the photo or image used, others not even that. The advantage is that in addition to saving time you also save money, which is very important for some designers.
